All of the houses and camps on Grand Isle have names on them. Most of the houses are just off the one main road, La. Hwy. 1, so the islanders didn't bother with street addresses until about 2 years ago when they had to number the houses for 911 service. In everyday conversation, they still don't bother with the numbers.
My directions to Irv and Linda's place concluded with: "Go about two blocks past Rome's Lounge, on the right, the camp is called 'For the Good Times'". And sure enough, a few football fields past Rome's Lounge (lingerie shows every Tuesday and Friday night), I looked up and saw this camp with the sign so clearly proclaming "For the Good Times."
