Grand Isle, Louisiana
One of my jobs for Governor Foster is to review pardon recommendations which he receives from the Pardon Board. I've met some fascinating people and
made some good friends from that work. One of those friends is Irvin L. Magri, Jr., Chairman of the Louisiana Board of Pardons. Irv and his wonderful wife Linda were
recently kind enough to invite me to stay with them for the weekend at Grand Isle, which is at the very tail end of the state. The very, very end of La. Hwy. 1 is there; if you don't
stop driving at the fence, you will very quickly crash into the Gulf of Mexico.
