Thomas and his mother

This is my brother Thomas and my step-mother Ann. As you can see, Thomas has recently lost his 2 front teeth. He was showing off his big gap-toothed grin to me.

If his left eye (on the right of the picture) looks a little unusual, that's because what you're seeing is really his left eye flipped over and carefully smoothed into place. In the original picture, the flash created a very unsightly glare on his glasses. I liked the picture enough that I wanted to salvage it as best I could. I hope it doesn't stand out too much.

This was the 4000^th picture I took with my Nikon Coolpix 990 digital camera.
