The Last Wait

After spending more than an hour in the other big room, we moved to the final waiting area, the vestry room of the church. We received our boutonnieres here. It was a much less comfortable area; no place to lie down, and it was quite hot. We kept the door open as much as we could to let some air in to circulate, but that meant that we had to maintain a watch for the bridal party to make sure that Daniel was not in the doorway when the bride walked by on her way from the hotel to the church. After 15 or 20 minutes in here, we went out to take the formal pictures of the groom's party. Then we went straight from the picture taking at the side of the church to inside the chapel itself.
