Daniel & Heather's Wedding
Daniel has been my best friend for many years now, ever since high school. When he decided to get married, he honored me by asking me
to be his best man, a role which I filled with great pride. I had the opportunity to meet his bride, Heather Stratton, several times before the wedding,
and I was very happy with the match. They got married on Saturday, June 30, 2001. The schedule made my life a little hectic, since my cousin Richard
got married on June 23. Richard's wedding was in Atlanta and Daniel's was in Pasadena California, so I was a real jet-setter for a week. Being in a wedding
gives you a great opportunity for some behind-the-scenes photographs. You will notice that there are no pictures of the actual wedding... the couple made
it clear to me that if I tried to bring a camera to the altar during the ceremony, I would get it back in pieces! (P.S. The refrigeratior magnet message you see
just below here was a message that Daniel spelled out on their fridge with a "Y'All: Southern Talk" set of magnets given to Daniel by his sister Beth.)
