The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial

This monument is inscribed with the names of all the law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty. If you are going to Washington, be sure to stop by and see it. It is a very peaceful place. Just take the Metro to the Judciary SQuare Station on the Red Line

The bottom picture in this series is the inscribed name of Betty Smothers, a Baton Rouge police officer who was killed by armed robbers intent on stealing the cash deposit she was taking to the bank.
