Maude

This is our donkey, Maude. We love her, but in the animal pecking order, I'm afraid the horses definitely act as if they are far more equal than she.
She’s really sweet, though. She acts like a big, overgrown dog, with hooves; she walks right up to you and lowers her head so you can scratch her ears.
And at 5 pm on the dot, she brays for her supper.
